On behalf of the Chairman and Committee
it is with very great sadness that I, as Company Secretary, inform you that we have decided that we have no alternative,
following, the devastation caused by COVID -19, but, to close Una Voce Opera Company.
We have not received nor asked for
any Membership Fees as the Committee felt it was unfair to seek such when we're not giving Live Performances or holding
fundraising events. Neither did we wish to place our Patrons, Friends, Supporters and any audience or backstage workers in
danger; having lost several of our Patrons over the last few years from other illnesses.
We are so proud to have run UVOC for twenty-five years and received
so many awards and recognition from different quarters. We are and always will be part of the History of Arts and Culture
and it is our Chairman's wish to write a book entailing the history of the founding of UVOC along with her life story.
Therefore, if you would like to contribute to that story, please write to our Chairman only at the following
address:
Mrs. Una F. McAulay,
2, Roosevelt Drive, Aintree,
Liverpool, L9 0LS.
Landline: 0151-521-4032 (plus Answering
Service)
And Una will reply to you in due course.
It is our intention with the remaining money that is held in the Treasurer's Account (approximately
£400.00 @ 27/12/2021) that we pay for a further annual subscription for our website, so that, as many as possible
will be informed of our plans. I will honour all our Patrons, Friends, and Supporters in due course by writing to them individually.
With the Chairman and Committee's grateful thanks
for your support to date and for to the future.
Best
Wishes, Martha McAulay.
